Network services will be doing maintenance in the VIA (Visual Arts) building on 2019-02-20 at 07:00. There will be a 30-60 minute outage in data, voice, and wireless services in VIA as a result of this work.

Subject: Network Outage CRA

It seems that power has been restored to CRA, and network equipment has remained online.

Hello,

Network Services has discovered that power has been cut to the Craigdarroch Residence Services building. While network equipment in the building is currently running on reserve power, the batteries will die in several minutes' time, causing a voice, data, and wireless services outage in the building. These services will be restored about 10 minutes after AC power is restored to the building. If you have any questions or concerns, please reply to this message.

Network Services will be upgrading equipment in UVC A 1F February 20th at 07:30. Data, wireless, and voice service will drop briefly in the area while connections are moved to the new hardware. If there are questions or concerns, please reply to this message.

Subject: NETDRIVE Maintenance: Thursday, Feb. 21 @ 11:00PM

We will be performing routine maintenance on NETDRIVE beginning at 11:00PM on Thursday, February 21, 2019. The work should be completed by Midnight.

During the maintenance period, the server will be restarted. Therefore, the following services will be interrupted:

- all Windows shares beginning with \\netdrive
- all Windows shares beginning with \\uvic\storage\
- all MacOS volumes served from netdrive.uvic.ca

Therefore, please avoid using these services during the maintenance window. If you can't avoid using the service, save your work often to minimize the possibility of losing work in progress.

Subject: Patching of enterprise applications
